Facebook Lite, a newly introduced Facebook app for Android that uses less data and works well across all network conditions is the latest try of social media giant to persuade some users for come back. Over billion of people around the world log-in to Facebook from a range of devices, in many cases from mobiles. Putting aside that in many places, networks can be slow and not able to support the full Facebook functionality, the biggest problem was battery consumption found in Facebook app for Android. Facebook Lite was built to address these problems, giving people a reliable Facebook experience on mobile devices at a base level. Bearing in mind that Facebook Lite is less than 1MB, it’s not only fast to install, but also consumes less resources and preserves battery (at least in theory). What you’ll get in these stripped version is Facebook’s core experiences including News Feed, status updates, photos, notifications and more. Lite version of Facebook is rolling out today in countries across Asia, and over the coming weeks will be available in parts of Latin America, Africa and Europe.
